We partnered with Moon Dog Brewing not once, but twice, to create these standout plastic schooner party cups for their brand Fizzer – the perfect fusion of functionality, branding, and safety.
The Brief:
Moon Dog needed a schooner-sized cup that was:
- Weights and Measures certified
- Fully customisable with vibrant, full-colour wrap-around artwork
- Commercial dishwasher safe
- Plastic-only (no glass allowed)
Our team at Flock workshopped the brief with Moon Dog, exploring a variety of materials, shapes, capacities, and price points before landing on the ideal solution.
The Solution:
These cups are custom-branded using an in-mould labelling (IML) process. This technique embeds the full-colour artwork directly into the cup wall during production, ensuring durability, vibrancy, and a premium look and feel.
One of the key technical challenges was meeting the strict requirements for Weights and Measures certification in Australia. The cup needed a highly accurate and clearly marked fill line. To achieve this, our design and quality control teams collaborated closely with our manufacturing partner to integrate the line into the artwork while maintaining an exceptionally tight production tolerance. The result? Certified drinkware that passed compliance testing on both production runs.
